Facelift

As you should have noticed the blog suffered some changes since the last time you were here, probably a long time ago, since I haven’t updated nothing for a while now.

The truth is that I have been absent for some time, to be exact since 6th January 2008, largely due to the University and some extra works.

Since then a lot of things has happened, to summarize: Currently I am finishing the second semester of my Master degree in Computer Science Engineering and at the moment I just have one job to deliver, and that allows me some free time to update the blog, present you with a new facelift and write something new in here.

This facelift was mostly sponsored by Woo Themes. I’m currently using Irresistible theme which I think is great, I’ve made some minor tweaks in colors and structure.

As soon as my sister has the time needed to draw a nice new logo I’ll replace the default one.

Hope you enjoy this new layout and that from now on I’ll write more often. If you notice something strange, with this new theme and/or functionalities please report it.

If you use a lot of different online services in which you have to identify yourself, supplying an username and password, for sure that you have forgot sometime your login informations for a service that you don’t use often.

And when this happens you start thinking like me, if it wouldn’t be nice if you could have one login for every service that you use, that way you could avoid memory failures.

Now we have OpenID, a free and easy way to use a single digital identity across the internet that solves all your problems.

At the moment OpenID is already being used in a couple of popular websites such as MySpace.

Since this is the first post here, “Hello world” is appropriated.

For a couple of months I had the idea to create a blog so that I could log some ideas related to web development and other stuff.

Now I’ve been forced to do so, at this semester I have a course named Multimedia Contents Production (MCP) and we need a blog to able the professor to keep track on the work developed by students.

So here it is.

At this time you might think… If this guy is Portuguese why is he writing in English?

Well that question has a good answer, writing in English will help me on practicing my English skills (they are a bit rusty at the moment, so feel free to report any grammatical errors you may find).
